At the QID members’ general meeting held on 5 December, the new Chair of the Supervisory Board was elected by a general vote.

In the activities of professional and public organizations, replacing Supervisory Board Chairs every 2–4 years is a widely used and recommended international practice. Such rotation helps refresh perspectives, strengthen strategic oversight, and ensure the sustainable development of the corporate governance institution. In line with this practice, Erlan Aukenov successfully led the QID Supervisory Board for three years, ensuring growth dynamics, improving the quality of programs, and strengthening the Association’s reputation. His term of office expires on 31 December 2025.

We express our sincere gratitude to E. Aukenov for his significant and invaluable contribution to the development of the Association and corporate governance in the country. Erlan Aukenov will continue our cooperation in the status of an Honorary Member of QID.

Based on the voting results, Alikhan Baidusенov was elected as the new Chair of the Supervisory Board. He will take up the position starting 1 January 2026. Congratulations to Mr. Baidusенov, and we wish him successful and productive work.

In addition, by a general vote, Aidyn Abay and Aigul Zhailaubekova were elected to the Supervisory Board. Their professional experience and expertise will strengthen the Association’s strategic development.

Samgat Ermekbayev completed his work as part of the Supervisory Board. We thank Samgat for his active contribution to the work of QID.
