Baiterek Holding and QID Association Sign MoU on Strategic Cooperation

The signing of a cooperation memorandum took place in Astana between JSC “National Managing Holding “Baiterek” and the Association Qazaq Independent
Directors (QID). The document was signed by Vyacheslav Son, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Holding “Baiterek,” and Elnura Abakanova, Executive Director of the Association QID
.

The agreement is aimed at developing the institution of independent board members, improving the effectiveness of governance mechanisms, and strengthening transparency and accountability in the corporate sector. The joint work includes forming a professional talent pool, introducing modern approaches to candidate selection, as well as implementing educational initiatives in the field of corporate regulation.

“Building a strong pool of independent directors is an important condition for improving transparency and the effectiveness of corporate governance. I am confident that our joint work with the QID Association will enable us to systematically approach the selection and development of such specialists, as well as to implement best practices across the entire group of companies,” — Vyacheslav Son noted.

Under the arrangements, the parties also intend to combine their expert capabilities to prepare analytical and methodological materials, hold advisory events, and create dialogue platforms. Implementing these initiatives will help strengthen independent oversight and improve the resilience of the governance system across the Holding’s group of companies.
