QID AND COMMITTEE ON STATE PROPERTY AND PRIVATIZATION DISCUSSED COOPERATION IN CORPORATE GOVERNANCE

Members of the Supervisory Board of the QID Association met with the Chairman of the Committee on State Property and Privatization of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ergali Egemberdi.

The meeting was also attended by committee staff responsible for privatization, management of state assets, and corporate governance.

The parties discussed areas of cooperation for effective management of assets in the quasi-public sector, strengthening the role of independent directors, and implementing transparency and accountability standards in state-owned companies.

The QID delegation included an international expert from the United Kingdom, Josh Ngondo, who shared his experience and highlighted the importance of integrating best international practices in Kazakhstan.

Following the meeting, the parties expressed their interest in continuing cooperation and agreed to expand the format of the dialogue.
