MEET WOMEN IN TECH AND QAZAQ INDEPENDENT DIRECTORS IN ALMATY

On June 27, a business meetup Women in Tech Kazakhstan will take place in Almaty together with Qazaq Independent Directors. The event topic is — «Corporate governance as a strategic asset». Participants will discuss the role of mature management practices in attracting investments, implementing ESG principles, as well as the growing role of independent directors in Kazakhstan’s corporate culture.

As part of the program, a panel discussion with leading experts will be held:

- Azamat Zholdasbekov — Independent Director of Central Securities Depository JSC, Halyk Global Markets, Halyk-Life and Halyk Finance; 

- Saida Zharbolova — Independent Director of Jusan Bank (Kazakhstan) and SQB Bank (Uzbekistan), Professor at Narxoz University; 

- Askar Marat — Independent Director of the State Credit Bureau and BSB JSC under the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan, member of the Supervisory Board of Women in Tech Kazakhstan; 

- Zoya Kasenova — Deputy Chairperson of the Board of the SPC of Almaty, participant of Qazaq Independent Directors. 

The moderator will be Asem Bolatzhan — CEO of Women in Tech Kazakhstan, Independent Director at Solva (Kazakhstan) and White Hill Capital.
