ASTANA LAUNCHES CERTIFICATE IN COMPANY DIRECTION – 2025 BY QID AND IOD UK

On 24 May, the first module of the Certificate in Company Direction – 2025 programme began in Astana. The programme is delivered by the Qazaq Independent Directors Association (QID) in partnership with the Institute of Directors, UK.

Course participants gained a comprehensive understanding of the key roles and responsibilities of directors, as well as the differences between governance, leadership, and ownership. Particular attention was paid to the role of the Board of Directors in building an effective corporate governance system.

During the first day, attendees also learned tools for identifying and assessing risks, structuring work with stakeholders, and increasing business value.

The module speaker was Paul Manden — a commercial law attorney, a Chartered Director, and the lead trainer at IoD UK. The training will run from 24 May to 29 June.
