IMPLEMENTING BEST PRACTICES IN CORPORATE GOVERNANCE: MEETING OF THE MINISTRY OF DIGITAL DEVELOPMENT OF THE RK AND QID ASSOCIATION

On March 5, 2025, a meeting took place between the leadership of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Qazaq Independent Directors (QID) Association. The discussion focused on improving the efficiency and sustainability of organizations under the Ministry through the introduction of modern corporate governance standards.

Minister Zhaslan Madiev highlighted the importance of applying advanced approaches in the management of government bodies, emphasizing that implementing best practices in corporate governance will increase transparency and efficiency of the organizations’ work, and will also contribute to the long-term development of the country’s digital transformation.

The Chair of the Supervisory Board of the QID Association, Erlan Aukenov, presented the Association’s activities, sharing information about the projects being implemented in the field of corporate governance development and the training of independent directors. Particular attention was given to new initiatives aimed at supporting digital and innovative companies in Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, the parties discussed possible formats of cooperation, exchanged their views on current challenges in the governance sphere, and outlined further steps for the joint implementation of educational and consulting projects.

The QID Association expresses gratitude to the Ministry for an open and constructive discussion, as well as for its commitment to developing a culture of effective governance in government bodies.
