QAZAQ INDEPENDENT DIRECTORS AND RISK MANAGERS ASSOCIATION SIGNED A STRATEGIC MEMORANDUM OF COOPERATION

The Qazaq Independent Directors Association (QID) and the Qazaqstan Risk Managers’ Association (QRM) have officially signed a Memorandum of Cooperation aimed at developing and strengthening professional competencies in the areas of corporate governance and risk management.

The document provides for a comprehensive cooperation program, including joint analytical research, development of methodological recommendations, as well as exchange of expert knowledge between the organizations. As part of the cooperation, it is planned to organize conferences, round tables, and educational events that help raise the qualification level of specialists and promote best practices in the corporate sector.

QRM Supervisory Board Chairperson Gulzhan Bekmagambetova and QID Supervisory Board Chairperson Erlan Aukenov noted that signing the Memorandum is an important strategic step that opens up new opportunities for partnership and experience sharing. In their view, cooperation will help improve corporate governance standards in Kazakhstan and strengthen the role of risk management as a key tool for sustainable business development.

The Memorandum of Cooperation is designed for five years and provides for regular interaction between the associations aimed at developing the professional community and implementing international standards in the practices of domestic companies.

This agreement marks a new stage in strengthening the institution of independent directors and improving the effectiveness of corporate governance in the country, which is of great importance for increasing investor confidence and ensuring the sustainability of Kazakhstan’s business in the face of global challenges.
