QAZAQ INDEPENDENT DIRECTORS Annual General Meeting

The Qazaq Independent Directors Association summed up its work for 2024 and discussed plans for the future. Over the past year, 187 new members joined the Association, and 148 specialists completed training in the QID database. In addition, 17 participants successfully completed the Institute of Directors program.

A key event was the signing of strategic agreements with the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Turkish Corporate Governance Association, and the MIND Think-tank analytical center, opening up new opportunities for the development of corporate governance in the country.

In 2024, the Directors’ guide “Corporate Governance” was published, and a large-scale study of board practice in Kazakhstan was conducted. The Association organized a forum dedicated to corporate governance as a key factor in economic liberalization, including a series of webinars and master classes. QID continues to strengthen the professional community and supports the development of corporate governance standards in Kazakhstan.
