Today, in the beautiful city of Almaty, the first training day of the 2026 Certificate in Company Direction programme by the Institute of Directors (UK) has officially commenced.

Delivered in partnership with QID and hosted by Narxoz Business School, this marks the first time that the internationally respected IoD Certificate programme is being held in Almaty — an important milestone for the advancement of professional corporate governance in Central Asia.

The Strategy module is designed to deepen understanding of the role of strategy in corporate governance and to strengthen directors’ capacity to make informed, forward-looking decisions in a rapidly changing business environment.

The module brings together leaders and directors from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan, fostering a strong regional exchange of experience and professional dialogue on governance, strategy, and board-level decision-making.

Participants will gain practical instruments for strategic analysis, market assessment, and the development and implementation of effective strategies.

The module is led by Damon Clark, Chartered Director (IoD) and Chartered Marketer, who brings extensive board-level expertise and substantial international business experience.
